“Let Us Match Our Faith And Prayers With Good Deeds Of Patriotism” – NYADA AUTA

Member of the National Welfare Committee, and Co-opted National Executive Committee (NEC) representative of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Suleja Branch, Nyada Auta, has urged Nigerians to match faith and prayers with patriotism.

He made this known in an Eid al-Fitr message made available to The Metro Lawyer. Read the message below:

Eid-ul-Fitr is a day of celebration for all Muslims faithful across the world, which translates to the “festival of breaking the fast”, after observing a month-long fast from dawn to sunset during the Holy period of Ramadan. Like other years, this year’s Ramadan has been a long period of self-denial, penitence and committed prayers for self and Country. We humbly pray that the almighty Allah accepts your supplications and grants you peace, hope, mercies and blessings even as you have successfully concluded your fasting in this auspicious month of Ramadan.

More than ever, our dear Country is in dire need of a turn around and I urge lawyers across our dear Country to be fervent in faith and prayers for the attainment of our collective aspiration to have a Country we can all be proud of, and to also grow our profession to its place of pride. No doubt, our commitment in prayers, and the exercise of our faith will propel us to good works for the attainment of this noble vision.

While we strive to put our Nation on the path to greatness, we must eschew ethno-religious bigotry, corruption, and we must not wane in good works. As we match our faith, and prayers with good deeds of patriotism, it is my earnest Prayer that the almighty will prosper the works of our hands, and this Eid will mark the beginning of another successful year in our lives.

Eid Mubarak to you and yours.
